Description
Of course Rube Goldberg is famous for depicting the complication of the uncomplicated.
Firstly I rendered some fractals in FTP, I then created a symmetrical lattice within Bryce.
I enlarged the lattice and moved the camera inside of it. Next I textured the lattice
with one of the fractals (picture texture) I had just rendered and it lit up like a Christmas tree with no light objects.
BTW, I turned off the atmosphere and moved the sun back so that it was pitch black outside.
I can't explain where the light was coming from. I rendered at (4000x2500) saved and brought the image
into Paint Shop Pro and applied the kaleidoscope effect to it. I repeated the process 2 more times.
You would think I would have learned after the first time!
I then blended the 3 layers in PSP, using various logic and transparency, adjusted colors and brightness, etc.
That's about it in a nutshell...
Yes I could have made it brighter but I liked it this way. I don't think I will do this again any time soon.
* Please zoom or download for full details. ( I know your monitor won't display it at full size)
A 3D/fractal manipulation, created with Bryce, FTP, and PSP.
