Description

A simple demonstration of how the filter technique works.
The animation consists of 20 frames at 10 FPS.
In this demo, I'm simply rotating the filter sphere 2 degrees counterclockwise per frame.
The filter sphere is tilted on its axis, so it has some precession as it rotates.
In this particular example, the filter has some color to it, which is independent
of the background image, so it's not the best demo of the effect I suppose.
You would see more variation if the filter was colorless.
However, you can see variations in the bump map as it moves.
As you can see, there is a stationary image behind the filter.
The background image is mapped to a sphere as well.
The number of possible unique stills is almost unfathomable.
46,656,000 possibilities just for the filter alone. Then you've got that many for
the background image as well, so (2,176,782,336,000,000 possibilities) Holy Moses! :eyepopping:
If you wondered: (Cube 360 and square the result) "sqr(cube(360))"
***Actually, in all fairness, Bryce has a resolution of .5 degrees***
The above figure was based on a resolution of 1 degree.
Anyway, I'm not very good with math so have at it!
